For the new Medical Center at BASF's headquarters in Ludwigshafen, Styrodur^® was installed as floor insulation. In our new film, we show you the complete course of the project: from the delivery of the material to the final concreting of the Styrodur^® panels. 

A new record for the green insulation panels: since the start of Styrodur^® production in 1964, 25 million m³ of Styrodur^® have been produced to date.

The resource-saving Styrodur^® BMB can be found in Europe's largest database for healthier building and living. 

On the construction site of the BASF Medical Center, Styrodur^® is being used for the floor insulation. The new building will replace the outpatient clinic in the future. 

At the Creation Center, employees and customers work together on innovative concepts and solutions for plastic products. Accordingly, innovative biomass balance products such as Styrodur^® BMB were installed in the building. 

Styrodur® meets all the requirements of the newly registered certification mark "Q-Symbol" and thus demonstrates the highest material quality.

In the last part of the hybrid film series, the processing method as well as the material and time savings with hybrid panels are illustrated.

BASF has been using a new type of packaging film for its Styrodur^® packages since August 2020. The recycled content of old plastics in the film saves new plastic material in production.
